WHAT IS ENLIGHTEN?
Enlighten is the most advanced laser system for the safe and effective removal of tattoos, multi-color tattoos, pigmented lesions, and also addresses skin revitalization concerns.
how does it work?
During the treatment, laser energy is delivered to the tattoo using ultra-short nanosecond or picosecond pulses. The pulses deliver a mechanical effect that shatters the ink particles into small pieces which are easily eliminated through the lymphatic system. Over time as the particles are removed, your tattoo lightens and ink-free skin will appear.

how many treatments?
The total number of treatments vary depending on the composition, depth and color of the ink, as well as the size of the tattoo. We can give you a better idea of the total number of treatments needed during your consultation and once your treatments begin.
Can it treat all colors?
Previous tattoo removal systems had a single colored laser light which only treated darker tattoos. Enlighten is equipped with three wavelengths that are selectively designed to remove all ink colors, including challenging blue and green tattoos.
is it painful?
Patients compare the procedure to a rubber bands being snapped against their skin. To minimize discomfort and improve your experience, a topical or local anesthetic amy be available but we do not always recommend. Some find getting used to the sensation during the treatment is better than being numb and having the after effects kick in when the numbing wears off.
side effects and downtime?
Most patients experience redness and swelling immediately following the treatment. In some cases, a blister may surface on the treated area, however with proper care of the treatment area, the side effect are temporary. Patients can return to regular activities immediately following the treatment. We will advise on post treatment care to ensure fast healing of the treated area.
